Thank you for supporting our
Scholarship Fund during the trying 2020-21 season
Because our annual Holiday Home Tour fundraiser was canceled due to Covid-19, we are relying on the generosity of donors to keep our scholarship fund afloat. Thank you to all who chose to donate online or privately! We are so very grateful!

DonatingPleasant Hill Christian School relies on contributions from alumni, parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, and friends. PHCS—as an independent school—operates without financial support from local, state, or federal governments. Tuition covers most of our expenses, but not all.
We rely heavily on strong donations to our general fund, and scholarship fund (Jacob’s Fund), to maintain operations, balance the school's budget, and offer tuition assistance to families who would otherwise be unable to afford a PHCS education. Friends of PHCS support the school with contributions to facilities and special projects, as well as through gifts, bequests, and estate planning. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Non-Profit Tax ID: 68-0016427), all gifts are tax deductible, welcome, needed, and very much appreciated. Regardless of the amount, gifts go to work immediately and impact every corner of campus life. Gifts can be made in the following ways: Cash Gifts: PHCS accepts cash gifts via credit card, check, or cash. You may prefer to make a recurring donation, or make a one-time gift by credit or debit card though our online PayPal donation link. To send a gift by check or money order, please mail it to our PHCS office specifying what you would like your donation to be used for. Estate Planning Gifts: Leave a legacy! Often a deferred gift enables donors to leave more of their estate to their loved ones while, at the same time, make a more significant contribution than would be possible through an outright gift. Planned gifts may offer significant benefits, including income tax savings, estate and gift tax savings, a lifetime income stream and property maintenance relief. Examples include bequests, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, and gifts of real estate or life insurance. In-Kind Gifts: Cars, trucks, and other vehicles can be easily converted to cash. Gifts of stock, property, and other non-cash items are excellent ways to help fund the mission and vision of PHCS. To inquire about transfers of stock or gifts of other property, please contact our PHCS office. Thank you for your special interest in helping Pleasant Hill Christian School flourish! |
VolunteeringVolunteering is an investment in your child’s education and future. EVERY family is expected to volunteer on a monthly basis, and those receiving financial aid will be asked to volunteer more based on their award.
Our largest scholarship fundraiser is the Sebastopol Holiday Home Tour in early December. This event requires a wide range of volunteers who can assist at almost anytime between mid November and early January. We understand that families are impacted with many activities and obligations. Parents can sign up at the beginning of the year or for a particular event of their choice. Managing/assistance are needed all year long in various areas of the school. Please check with the office should you have extra time or a particular expertise that you feel can be used at PHCS. It is our hope that you will invest some of your valuable time to support our school. PHCS has dynamite fundraisers, educational programs, and many celebrations where volunteers are utilized. Each school year a list of volunteering opportunities is made available. Listed below are examples of some of the volunteer opportunities:
