Inside our Classrooms
The mainstay of Pleasant Hill Christian School is our academic program, which is designed to prepare students not only for junior high, high school, and college, but for life.
Serving preschool and transitional kindergarten through sixth grade, PHCS provides a Christ-centered curriculum in a classical education in the liberal arts tradition, nurturing and challenging our students to their fullest capacity. Individual learning is emphasized and social interaction between various grade levels is part of the daily routine. Emphasis is placed on reading, math, language arts, history, and science, as well as the arts and physical fitness. There is an emphasis on Christian character traits, Bible memory work, and music. Respect for teachers, classmates, and property is cheerfully practiced. PHCS students are taught by highly qualified, experienced, and committed teachers that are dedicated to the spiritual, academic, physical, and social growth of our students. Individual, small group, and whole class learning activities are utilized to challenge students to reach their personal potential. |
