Kindergarten takes a child from home to his/her first formalized school setting. Our day consists of many routines, offering comfort and stability.
The phonics program is a large part of the Kindergarten curriculum. We begin each year with the introduction of individual letters, advancing to blending a consonant and vowel and, finally, reading words. Each child is provided small readers with which to practice reading skills. Children also enjoy reading aloud daily.
The math program takes the child through numbers 1 - 100, time, money, addition, subtraction and story problems. Social studies, Bible lessons, and science are also part of the Kindergarten week. Art, music, and computers also take place in the classroom.
Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for each student while learning of God’s love. We want each child to leave Kindergarten excited about learning.
